Our Story

Because Nature Is Beautiful

The story of Nature Is Beautiful begins not with a company or a brand, but with one man searching for relief.

For nearly two decades, Clive Walcott lived under the shadow of despair. After losing his job, he faced years of uncertainty, financial stress, and emotional collapse. His family life strained, his sense of worth faded, and every day felt heavier than the last.

Eventually, Clive started spending time on a park bench near his home. At first, he sat there simply because he didn’t know what else to do. But in those long hours outdoors, something subtle began to change. He started noticing things again -- the warmth of the sun, the sound of birds, the scent of lilacs in the breeze.

Those small details didn’t solve everything, but they softened the edges of his pain. They reminded him that even when life feels motionless, the world continues to move, breathe, and create.

The Park Bench Moment

That park bench became the turning point -- what Clive now calls his park bench moment. The question that once haunted him, “How did I get here?”, slowly shifted into something larger: “How did any of us get here?”

He began exploring what he calls the story of everything -- the 14-billion-year journey that connects stars, planets, and human life into one continuous thread. That realization led to a simple philosophy that would guide his recovery and reshape his life: Admire. Connect. Explore.

Through photography and writing, Clive began documenting how time outdoors helped him heal. He discovered that looking closely at the world -- whether a single flower or an entire landscape -- created a sense of peace and meaning that had been missing for years.

This practice became a.c.e. Nature: Admire, Connect, Explore. It was not a slogan or brand idea but a way of living. And from that practice, Nature Is Beautiful was born.

The Growth of Nature Is Beautiful

Over time, Nature Is Beautiful grew from a personal outlet into a project with purpose. It became a space to share stories, images, and reflections that remind people of something simple and true: nature is not just scenery -- it’s part of who we are.

The message resonated with others who found comfort and perspective outdoors. Through essays, photography, and thoughtful conversation, Clive built a community of people who also recognized that nature’s beauty has the power to restore balance and hope.

A New Chapter

In 2025, Nature Is Beautiful entered a new phase. Zachary McKinley, based in Buenos Aires after moving from Texas, joined the project to help guide its next chapter. Drawn by a shared belief in the importance of nature and connection, Zachary works with Clive to expand the reach of the message while keeping its original heart intact.

Together, they continue to evolve Nature Is Beautiful -- combining photography, writing, and storytelling to remind people everywhere that healing often begins with something as simple as stepping outside.

The Philosophy

At its core, Nature Is Beautiful exists to inspire people to:

  • Admire the world as it is.

  • Connect with the forces that shape life.

  • Explore with curiosity and gratitude.

It’s a philosophy that grew from one man’s moment of despair into a shared mission to celebrate the beauty of our world -- and to remember that the beauty of nature, when truly seen, is enough.
